Understanding Our Terms of Service
At the National Institute for Health Technology (NIHT), we are committed to providing clear, accurate, and transparent information regarding our training programs. By enrolling in or participating in our programs, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. EligibilityOur programs are designed for individuals seeking entry into the field of sleep technology. No prior experience is required for most programs; however, students must meet any prerequisites outlined during the admissions process.
2. Enrollment ProcessEnrollment requires completion of an application and submission of required documentation. Admission is not considered complete until acceptance is confirmed and the required payment or deposit has been received.
3. Tuition and PaymentTuition details are outlined on the Tuition & Enrollment page. Payment plans may be available; however:
- Tuition must be paid in full before participating in clinical training
- Tuition must be paid in full before access to the final exam is granted
Failure to meet payment deadlines may delay program progression.
4. Program StructureThe Sleep Technology Essentials Program includes:
- Instructor-led training (live and/or recorded)
- Online self-paced modules
- 20-hour supervised clinical experience
- Final examination
NIHT reserves the right to adjust course schedules, instructors, or delivery format as needed.
5. Clinical TrainingClinical experience is a required component of the program. Students may:
- Attend clinicals at an NIHT-approved location, or
- Arrange clinical hours at an approved local facility
All clinical hours must be completed and verified before program completion.
6. Certification & OutcomesUpon successful completion of the program, students receive a Certificate of Completion from NIHT.
This program is designed to prepare students for certification exams such as:
- CPSGT (Certified Polysomnographic Technician)
- RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist)
Certification eligibility is determined by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), and additional requirements may apply.
7. State LicensureLicensing requirements vary by state. It is the responsibility of the student to verify any state-specific requirements for employment or licensure. Completion of this program does not guarantee licensure in all states.
8. Student ConductStudents are expected to maintain professional behavior and actively participate in all components of the program. NIHT reserves the right to remove any student who fails to meet professional or academic standards.
9. Refund PolicyRefunds are subject to the terms outlined in our official Refund Policy. Accessing course materials may impact eligibility for refunds.
10. PrivacyNIHT respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
